Men inget möte utan fika. Vi har inte börjat elda än i torpet, så både jackor och halsdukar fick behållas på.
This Friday we hade a visit from Matilda and Elin to start planning the garden here at the croft. Matilda, our friend Elin’s sister is doing here last term at a Garden Master education. This spring we’re planning to start a small collaboration together, which we’re super-excited about. The croft’s garden is really big, and hasn’t gotten much love the last years. So there’s a whole lot to do! But no meeting without “fika”. We haven’t started to heat up the croft yet, so both jackets and scarfs were needed.
The buns we bought from our favorite bakery.
And the tea was from Sandberg.
After the fika it was time for some inspection and a tour. We’re planning on moving parts of the large lilac that grows around the croft, to the big hole you can see. Maybe a beautiful climbing rose.
A summer finding!
Such a pleasure to discuss ideas with someone who knows their craft. We have pretty big plans for this garden and in our minds it’s a garden that blooms and lives from early Spring to late Autumn. And we’re off course also growing some edibles.
Some of the Autumn flowers present in the garden right now.
Here’s the area that we’re growing the next summer. We’ll also fix up the area to the right and the flower bed around and infront of the house. And there’s also a large herb garden that needs some attention.
So excited to get started! We have a large preparatory work ahead of us so we guess we’ll get started this Autumn. And some scallions should get planted come Spring. Hope you’ll follow us on our little garden journey.
