Spring is in the air (literally!) and outside the temperatures are rising. The sun has finally made a comeback, flowers are emerging from their winter slumber and we are finally done with the removal of all the carpets in the house. Honestly, there is nowhere in the world where you would see as many carpets as in the UK! Now, I don’t mean an antique handwoven wool rug, I mean the nasty grey carpets that cover every single meter of the floor, and seem to be found everywhere in British houses. Brits just seem to have an obsession with carpets, and our house was no exception! So this week was spent removing carpets and sorting the floorboards underneath.
So after a DIY filled week, today I’m spending the morning drinking coffee, listening to music, enjoying the house, the colours, the bareness of the floors and the warmer air, thinking of my friends and family, the house in France, the smell of summer rain and drinking cava, speaking too loud and dancing too much.
I’ve popped together a playlist below that gives me all the spring feels and one for you to sing and dance along to this Saturday morning.
Oh and a couple of summer and spring memories from the archive that has a special place in my heart – days, evenings and nights where this playlist was on repeat 🌿
As always, do press the little heart if you like this post – it brings me so much joy to know that you are reading and liking what I’m writing.
