This week has been stressful, to say the least. It has been filled with both rejections and exciting news, which is equally hard and nice at the same time, which exhausts me. I’ve had no time for DIY, no time to sort the house, no time to paint what I was intending to paint. So today after work, after a walk on the beach with Alva, I made myself breakfast for dinner and got into bed. As the sunset lingered, it coloured the walls with beautiful warm light and calming shadows. Oh, how I miss warm summer nights!
I’ve been reading a lot of photography books recently, and one dialogue that stood out was “between the eye and the heart”. Cartier-Bresson once said that “the photograph is a world that I am after. The one unique picture whose composition process such vigour and richness, and whose content so radiates outward from it, that this single picture is a whole story in itself”.
As always, do press the little heart if you like this post – it brings me so much joy to know that you are reading and liking what I’m writing.

Beautiful photography! May I ask where the little bedside lamps are from? I have 2 vintage shades and I’ve been waiting for the right fixture to come along. Thanks!
Thank you Maria! They are from https://www.laredoute.co.uk/ 😀
