On days like these when skies are blue and the fields are turning green, it’s hard to even imagine that it was snowing last Sunday! The rhubarb is starting to emerge from the soil and our apple trees are slowly opening up their blooms.
Right now I am drinking an elderflower spritz – a drink that transports me right back to warm nights standing in a crowded street in the little Italian town Taggia just close to where my aunt stays. My dahlias are growing, the cities are opening up and it looks like I might be going back to Gothenburg very soon – yes I am smiling as I am writing this!
To celebrate early spring and all that it brings – the cherry blossoms starting to bloom – I was playing with this simple but yet so tasty drink recipe and I wanted to share it with you. My good old friend Eddie made some homemade elderflower cordial a couple of weeks ago, and I was very keen to incorporate it into a tasty drink (see below for recipe)!

Ingredients
1 bottle of white dry wine
100ml Concentrated elderflower cordial (flädersaft)
200 ml Chilled soda water (or cava!)
Garnish
Lemon slices
Edible flowers
How to make
Mix the wine, cordial and soda water in a large jug. Fill 4 glasses with ice and lime slices. Pour the liquid over the ice and serve. Garnish with some fresh edible flowers.

As always, do press the little heart if you like this post – it brings me so much joy to know that you are reading and liking what I’m writing.
